Olivia Clifton-Bligh
I am a sculptor working in bronze, paper, wax and clay and a printmaker specialising in linocut and woodcut techniques.
Working in Britain's rural West Country, I explore indigenous country lore, both ancient and emerging. By integrating closely observed botanical and zoological studies with the rich metaphorical language of narrative traditions, my work reflects on our historical and changing relationships with the natural world.
I studied Art and Art History at Goldsmiths' College (BA Hons 1990-93) and my work is exhibited in London and throughout the UK. I am a member of the Royal Society of Sculptors and a member of the Printmakers Council.
