We are based on Catherine Hill, which has been a commercial part of the town for many centuries. The town has a rich history in design and making. Prior to the industrial revolution the wool and cloth industry thrived. The town later diversified into metalworking, printing & bookbinding.  Architecturally Frome is a very beautiful town with a large number of listed buildings. Owl gallery, along with most of the town centre falls within the conservation area. Today it boasts a community of small independent businesses and lovely cafés. Owl regularly updates its new collections, showcasing: sculpture - glass – functional and architectural glass design - porcelain ceramics - painting - a range of printmaking processes and techniques including woodcut, etching, engraving, lithography and digital printing - multimedia and arresting illustrations - entomology, collections of butterflies, moths and beetles. We have a great range of greeting cards. Owl’s fine art collections bring together interesting, eclectic viewing with revolving exhibitions of new and developing works, as we are always busy behind the scenes. Owl’s artists are always happy to discuss private commissions and consultations.

We are 6 contemporary artists, craft based designers, and makers living in and around Frome, sharing a unique gem of a gallery space.
